Naniwa Chocera Pro Stone 10000 Grit
When you need your yanagiba or straight razor to be extremely sharp, it's hard to do better than 10,000 grit. The extreme smoothness gives you the glide you want, whether it's skimming hair off your face or slicing sashimi.
Always flatten your stone with a truing stone after sharpening.
When to use this stone:
- Mirror edge polish. It's insane. Definitely needs a bit of progression from lower grit stones.
- The hardest and finest Chosera. Best used when you really wanna crank up the polish. Easily the best for high HRC knives if you really want to take full advantage of your steel.
- The definition of extra. Really shines up R2, SG2, ZDP-189, ATS-34, or any other high HRC Powder or Tool steels. Brilliant for straight razors. Always keep dry when not using, prone to webbing (very fine cracks that resemble a spiderweb).
